Creators Mixer: Civic Storytelling & Creative Activism [Lagos]

As storytelling increasingly shapes how societies understand governance, elections, and social issues, creatives have become powerful actors in driving public conversations and influencing change. The Creators Mixer hosted by Civic Hive in partnership with Shoot Your Shot Africa, and supported by Open Society Foundation, is designed as a gathering for creatives in Lagos to connect, learn, and explore the role of storytelling in strengthening accountability and democratic participation.

This one-day convening will bring together storytellers, filmmakers, writers, digital creators, and social commentators who are passionate about using their creative platforms to engage with civic issues and influence social change. The event also serves as a prelude to the Creative Change Makers Fellowship, Civic Hive’s programme designed to nurture creatives who use storytelling and media to advance civic engagement.
