Arafat Oseni is a writer, digital creator, and development communicator with a passion for harnessing storytelling and digital tools to drive social impact. She graduated as the Best Graduating Student (BGS) in the Department of Theatre and Performing Arts from Bayero University, Kano in 2021, where she sharpened her skills in narrative craft, performance, and audience engagement foundations that now inform her work in civic tech and communications.

Arafat is also an alumna of the Civic Hive Creative Changemakers Fellowship, graduating in 2023. The fellowship deepened her commitment to using creative approaches to address societal issues and further equipped her with tools to build inclusive civic solutions.

Currently serving as the Programs & Communications Associate, Arafat supports in designing and implementing programs that promote civic awareness, active citizenship, and government accountability. She leads content development for civic education platforms, manages community and stakeholder relations, and supports grant implementation and monitoring.

Arafat’s work is driven by a commitment to amplifying grassroots voices and bridging the gap between citizens and governance. Through strategic communication, multimedia content creation, and people-centered programming, she contributes to shaping a more informed and participatory civic space in Nigeria and across West Africa. Her interdisciplinary background allows her to merge creativity with advocacy, creating compelling narratives that inspire civic
engagement and democratic action.
