Joseph Idahosa Amenaghawon is a seasoned development professional with over 20 years of experience in enhancing nonprofit influence on governance in Nigeria and West Africa. Formerly the Programs Lead for Economic Justice at Open Society Initiative For West Africa (OSIWA), he has expertise in strategy development, monitoring, evaluation and learning, fundraising, grant-making, advocacy, program management, economic justice, and capacity building.

Currently, Joseph heads Civic Hive, BudgIT Foundation’s innovation center, focusing on organizational independence, program stabilization, and brand visibility. He also advises BudgIT Foundation on strategy and growth, enhancing monitoring, evaluation, learning and public engagement.

He holds a master’s in international law and diplomacy and a bachelor’s in economics, with training from Harvard Kennedy School and IDS Sussex. An arts enthusiast and poet, Joseph runs an inspirational platform at https://dawntides.org and enjoys family time.
